Wicksteed park Triathlon

Found out only a few days ago there was going to be a Triathlon only a 10 minute walk from my house, (cant think why these things are never advertised very well )
Being a big fan of athletics I just had to go. It was great fun to watch and even better when I realised my friends husband was competing, so I had someone to cheer on.
First a swim around a very dirty lake, then they were off on their bikes, followed by 4 laps of the park for 10k.
Looked great fun but hard work.
Hope its on again next year :)
