The Physics of...

...hammock building.

I started the crochet hammock based on nothing more than a vague pattern developed in my head. The main concern is the physics and engineering of the actual string I'm using.

Holding beer bottles in a crate is one thing but holding a 6 foot human in a relaxing shady spot is something slightly different.

Although there is more string across more area and with no real way of testing it without actually doing the rather long task of crochetting it, I can only guess at how strong it needs to be and working on the knots from there.

It not only provides something to keep the hands busy during the dug walk, also keeps the mind ticking over.
