Model Railways - Little toys for big kids

Today we went for a visit to Worden Park in Leyland. It's a wonderful park with a well presented playground and some spectacular open areas. Enough for everybody to have there own space.

The park also boast a lovely Woodland trail and a Maze but what most kids (big and small) like is that on a Sunday the steam railway models are brought out and visitors to the park can ride on them.

These models are maintained by the Leyland Steam Model Enthusiasts who have been in the park now since 1952.

It's great to sit with the kids and ride these trains on a lovely summers day.

Don't forget though to leave a donation in the box if you do take a trip. I'm sure that the more donations they get, the more chance they will still be running these great little engines on your next visit.
