Summer Solstice

To celebrate the longest day of the year we went to a summer solstice supper (from 9pm until 11pm) at Whitelee wind farm, the UK's largest, just outside of Eaglesham.

It wasn't so much a supper as a biscuit and a cup of tea, made in a storm kettle. We left the visitor centre and walked for about an hour to reach the top of Dunwan Hill, a flat topped hill within in the wind farm that is believed to be the site of an ancient hill fort.

It was a beautiful night, if somewhat cold and worth the walk to see the sun set over Arran.
