Four-spotted Chaser

Today Gofer and I down Cornwall to Goss Moor Nature Reserve. Not as many butterflies as we had hoped but a good variety including large and small skipper, small heath and ringlet. By the large lake it was alive with damsel and dragon flies. A yellow hammer was singing his heart out in the top of a tree. In the meadow by the car park there were dozens of march orchids.
We then went further down to Redruth to a evening bbq at a carnivorous plants enthusiast’s. He has an amazing collection mostly pitcher plants. While they discussed the plants I enjoyed the nature’s art of the plants.
We left just before sunset and as we passed the windmills on the A30 I couldn’t resist taking a shot of the sky and these modern age monuments remembering it was the solstice
