A summers day

Today has been lovely. This morning was spent pottering about (an excellent past time if ever there was one). Then this afternoon we spent a delightful half hour larking about on the river in a rowing boat. We had some unexpected visitors in the form of beautiful blue damsel flies who decided they would rather be rowed down the river than have to flap their wings. It was rather magical watching them dance above the water and then come to rest on my oars. It made the rowing all the more interesting.
