starstruck

day two of our DC visit. We joined the throng at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. Em was enthralled by the capsules in the main hall, how small they were and that they had been in space and were now back on 'the ground'. We all admired the suspended shiny silver DC3 aircraft and strange Sputnik. Later we visited the National Museum of American History to see the Star Spangled Banner and a certain pair of ruby slippers. Such an eclectic mix of exhibits.
