MonoMonday:Still Life

I thought MonoMonday was going to be easy this week until I started photographing this glass dophin. It was more difficult than I expected, but I am not going to begin again now.

It really is a lovely piece. It was given to my late mother-in-law as a gift when she spoke at a conference in Cancun, Mexico in 1986. She did wonder what persuaded them to give international visitors fragile, 30cm (1ft) tall gifts weighing 3kg to add to their luggage, but loved it so much she found a spot for it anyway.
