Place de l'Europe

The bronze sculpture of "Europe" stands in the centre of Albertville and was unveiled in 1992 on the opening day of the Winter Olympics held here.
Another very warm morning at 30.8 degrees at 1p.m. and warnings of thunderstorms later this afternoon, possibly continuing through the night.
Enjoying a rest day in the shade of the trees.
Addendum : we had few rumbles of thunder at 6 pm and a half hour shower. Hope we are not going to have more in the early hours of the morning, but disappointed that we have stayed in the valley when we could have gone high I the hills to cool off!
