days I'll remember

Leaderhead Viaduct

This was the view from the Eildon Hills, taken at our lunch break. Could have enhanced it, but it was a bit hazy so this is an honest view. After sandwiches we walked down to the Tweed and back into Melrose. Asked directions on the way at a house in Newsteads; the occupier turned out to be an ex-colleague Elaine, who I hadn't seen for years. She now runs a hypnotherapy business. Probably a lot more rewarding than working for LBG.

The viaduct is on an old branch of the Waverley Route that served Gordon (the town) but not much else, and hence closed long ago.

Back to Edinburgh for a somewhat disappointing curry at Voujon.

A great day out nevertheless :)
