Auchindoun Castle

Set high above the Fiddich and looking dramatic, Auchindoun was built about 1480 but has been a disused ruin since 1745. It's worth a visit as it is a good viewpoint for rural Aberdeenshire and Moray. Also an interesting building in it's own right.
