Meldrum Sports 2014

It was the 84th Meldrum Sports today. Aimee was going along with her friends so I decided that Katie and I would pop along for a bit.

We haven't been the last few years due to other things and the weather. As David was in Dublin for the weekend I thought it would be nice to do something.

Off we went in time for the start. There were events taking place before it was officially opened. We found a seat and watched as the pipe bands walked round the arena and then the vice chairperson of Aberdeen Football Club had a car drive him round showing off the trophy!

We took a walk round the stalls and the fair. Met lots of people we knew and chatted away. Luckily we were heading home as the heavens opened!!

Then at night we went to the theatre to see West Side Story. It was fantastic and really enjoyed it. I can't believe how many shows I have seen this year. Definitely better than a night out in the town!!
