A stitch in time.

I realised the other day, just how much I used to rely on my flatmates sewing machine. I now have sewing projects and repairs mounting up, cosutme making coming up in the next few months and no sewing machine.

I went to David Drummonds today. Fantastic little shop, they offer you a cup of tea, talk you through everything, let you try machines in your price range and explain the features to you. They even put up with your stupid questions. Found a fantastic little machine at a great price due to it being an anniversary edition, I even get an hour of tutition once I've had chance to use it a while, and he delivered it to my house for me. I didn't expect to be buying a machine today, thought I'd just go for a look but this one was perfect. If you ever need a sewing machine/supplies see this guy!

In other news:

We got the door draught proofed which is just as well as the boiler has finally given up the ghost. Hopefully have a couple of people coming to do quotes on a new one next week and as we're without heating/hot water it should put us high on the priority list for getting the work done too.

In the meantime I'm going to huddle round the oil heater and play with my new toy.

Tomorrow will be backblipped as I very much doubt the mobile broadband will work in the hospital.
