FATHER AND SON

We packed up and hiked out today. It was a short trip, but most valuable. Being in the wilderness is healing, rejuvenating, and special. Being with your son just doubles all of that. We are so blessed to live here where we can do this. I am ashamed to say that I haven't gone backpacking in about ten years. Partly because I thought that it might be too hard at my age. That is hogwash. I did just fine. I think that we should all reach our limits, and not just make them up for ourselves.
