French marigold

Aka Tagetes. This an interesting flower. It comes in many colours. In our gardens Tagetes is mostly used for its colourfulness. But planted around roses, they keep away nematodes. In some places people dry and grind the petals and use as spice. Essential oils extracted from the plant are used in the perfume industry, and are said to have antifungal properties.
