Ladies wot meet!

This is Diane & Jane.
They are part of a group of ladies I meet up with.
Diane (on left) started a small group amongst her friends several years ago to meet up under the auspices of a book group. We generally all read the book selected but the topic of conversation is usually around what we are up to now and what our offspring are doing, just generally putting the world to rights!

Last night we met at Helens and sat in her lovely garden, we were bemoaning getting old and our failing bodies, the health service, the arrival of children home from university and those now moving on to new pastures, and although some of our children are married with kids we were still dumbstruck by the friends of our children who are now married or even have children of their own - where did those years go, surely it wasn't that long ago they were three years old in play group!

We haven't all finished reading the last book selected but everyone felt it was a good read 'Mana from Hades' by Carola Dunn. We've got quite a break till we meet up again due to various holidays and work patterns which will give me plenty of time to finish this book and get the next one, 'A Single Breathe' by Lucy Clarke, under my belt aswell.
