Midsummer night's dream
At midnight taking a walk with my son Jaan. It was magic- foggy, a little cold and silent. He said that it was the best day of his life, lucky him. But he sais that almost every day- what a gift to live your life like every day is the best day of your life.
Midsummer night is called Jaanipäev in Estonian. That means Jaan's day which comes from St John, John the Babtist.
So Jaan has his own day. He is the one who can set fire to the bonfire to celebrate the eve before Jaanipäev. The bonfire is called jaanituli- Jaan's fire.
His own day, own fire, own celebration, own feast.
Mirt was devastated yesterday when she realized, that there is no Mirt's day! We have to make something up as I remember the same sadness- I also have a brother called Jaan... and no Sigrid's day, no Sigrid's fire, no nothing.
There is no justice in the world :P
