i found this butterfly on the way to work this morning. he was struggling in the grass. i couldn't tell which, but either one of his wings is hurt, or he is a relatively new butterfly. hopefully, it's the latter. when butterflies first come out of their cocoon, they have to pump the blood into their wings before they can use them. they tend to be very friendly at that time, because people are so warm. either way, this guy was not shy at all, and i wish i could show you all of the pictures i took of him. i ended up choosing this one because you can see his cute little face
