the egg auction
Went to Melton market this morning. As always a lovely interesting day out. The stallholders sell such wonderful things. I bought lots of really pretty cotton material (covered in tiny ditsy flowers) at £1 per metre - such a bargain. Lots of stalls - one selling retro sewing catalogues, knitting patterns, and a big pile of Vogue magazine from the 60s. Plants, roses, antiques, and lots of fresh fruit and veg. And a visit to the sausage shop (Dickinson & Morris) who sell the tastiest sausage in England! The picture is of the eggs laid out ready for the auction.
