Nam June Paik, "Electronic Superhighway" (1995)

An unexpected visit to the Gallery of American Art, which is (for my money, though it's free) the best gallery/museum in DC. I wandered in to take a look at this map again, but also found another great exhibition.

"Electronic Superhighway" features video feed of iconic images from each state (potatoes from Idaho, Dorothy from Kansas, mountains from Colorado, etc.), all held together with neon lights in the shape of the outline of the states. It's mesmerising.
