Callistemon or the bottlebrush flower
I captured this photo while on a recent trip to the Boyce Thompson arboretum in Mesa, AZ.
The Callistemon species are referred to as bottle flowers because of their cylindrical brush-like flowers.
They are found in the temperate regions of Australia and in the southwest parts of USA.
