.....all these red lumps and bumps are midge bites !
Dozens of them !
Such is the tyranny of blip , I endured their swarms!!
As lying flat out ,inching my way forward in the meadow grass ; to get a photograph for you!
Of this buck rabbit ,who toughed it out staring me down until I got to 15 feet away,when his nerve finally gave way and he legged it to the hedge!
I must be getting soft in my old age......there was a time when 100 yards with a .22 was near enough!

Ps...For Bandit and Dylan.....no rabbits were harmed in the taking of this Picture !! :-D
