Cutting Room Square

I went to see (and experience) Angel Meadow, "inspired by the 19th century experience of Irish migrants escaping poverty for a better life in industrial Manchester". It's what they call an immersive theatre experience, named after one of Manchester's worst slums. We met in Cutting Room Square in Ancoats and were led to the old Edinburgh Castle pub where various rooms formed the stage for small dramas involving characters who might have passed through the area. "In your face" doesn't come close. You can see a group just setting off on the left, I wonder if they realise what they're in for?
