An endangered species

The rain put paid to our plans for a long walk today so we did some "wet weather jobs" then went to Beverley where I indulged in one of my favourite pastimes - visiting bookshops old and new.

There used to be several secondhand bookshops in Beverley but now there are only two (or three if you count Oxfam books). The first one we went to had a reduced stock; the owner informed us that he was running it down ready for retirement. So we went to what will soon the the only one left - the one in the picture. I bought two books and bumped into some old friends, David and Iris, who I hadn't seen for about 20 years!
