Party Car

Today's the day.

I woke up at 8:00 to get a run in before leaving for Firefly. I did an easy 30 minutes, just over 4 miles. Home for a quick shower before Tommy came by and picked me up. We went to the bank before going to his house to pack the cars (aka "Tetris that shit"). Arielle, Erica, and Kady pulled up soon after Tommy and I got there, and then we packed as Tommy went to get Marc and I think Billy. To be honest, I don't really remember how Billy got there. He has this wonderful talent of just appearing and disappearing at will. He's great.

Anyway, as we were packing the cars, Phil, Steph, and Brandon went to TB. They came to Tommy's just before we finished packing, and by 10:30, we were on the road. Phil drove me, Steph, and Brandon, so basically the most amazing car of people ever. We had a blast on the way to Delaware. We stopped somewhere in Jersey to snag some sunglasses and use the restroom, but other than that, it was smooth riding until Delaware.

We went into a Dollar Tree to pick up last-minute stuff (like a pool noodle and glow sticks) and then we had our first Wawa experience. Amazing.

We pulled into some holding lot around 4:00 and waited around for an hour and a half before being directed into the camping area. We met up with Erica's car and Tommy's car and as they set up camp, we drove in circles until we found the Companion Car lot. Incompetence everywhere.

It was a bit of a walk to the site from the Companion lot, but we dragged our stuff over in the boiling heat. There wasn't much to do tonight, so we just cooked dinner and hung out with our neighbors from Ohio: Emerald, Bridgette, and Dave. Awesome, awesome people.

I went to sleep around 2:30. Not the best decision, but oh well.
