As Busy as Bees.

Beekeeping involves more than just doing things with bees, it involves doing things with bees annoying you. Having had the apiary rotovated a couple of weeks ago (that must have been interesting, bees don't like the earth moving), it was time to clear out the chopped up roots and sowing green manure. I would have expected problems but the little critters maintained a watching brief but, other than that, left us alone. It was warm work, not only because we were wearing bee suits but, those of us who don't like getting stung, wear a fair amount underneath as bees can sting through clothing, the sting can reach through about an eighth of an inch, it can also be forced through sturdy "Marigold" washing up gloves.

Today there were no mishaps and many hands completed the work in hand quickly.
