Ghosts

Came upon this bizarre tree on walk this morning. Apparently the bird cherry ermine moth caterpillar covers the tree with a protective web then munch their way through the foliage. The poor tree was bereft of leaves and looked very sad next to its neighbours. Hopefully it springs back to life next year.
