chowpatty beach balloons
we spent our day in Mumbai / Bombay as any Brit should...hunting down the best Bombay mix! We struck gold at a local cafe & devoured the bag, along with a couple of doses of bel puri, on the beach at Chowpatty as we watched the sun set.
We were approached by a few Indian people, to take photographs and just for general chat / observational purposes. Our game of Uno drew the biggest crowd of all! We also sampled an indian cigarette, which we were assured contained only tobacco, but we politely took one drag and that was it...just in case (friends' stories of bang lassies and losing 3 days in Mumbai were too fresh in mind!)
We may have had one of our favourite meals in India here too - a spicy potato roll from a food stand for 7 rupees! Absolutely scrumptious & hot enough to leave us gasping for air on the side of the road.
The day was finished off with a meat fest at another food stall in what seemed to be a back alley. The locals loved it and we couldn't resist going back for seconds! Meat sweats galore
