Nelson's nose

We started the morning with an amazing sight as a doe and very young spotted fawn ran across the road in front of my brother's house on our way to the train. Just heart-stoppingly beautiful, the delicate baby with an amazing coat safely making it across on spindly legs. On my way home from the train a muskrat scurried across. T said maybe they were all going to a picnic or a mouse wedding:)

The chipmunks and Nelson decimated the morning supply of peanuts quickly. It's another lovely morning, but high heat and humidity are on the way for later.

My great grandfather donated this item at our Historical Society. I'm taking I took photos there at a tea this afternoon.

June 25, Wednesday- Children’s Historic Food ways Program “Rebecca Stetson 1786 Federal Era Tea”
2 to 4pm, Limited to 30 participants, FREE thanks to Eastern Bank & the Hanover Historical Society Education Fund. Please register.

It is tea time at the Hanover Historical Society! In this program participants will experience a historic tea as pretend guests of the Stetson Family in 1786. Guests will be welcomed into the historic house and imagine they have been asked for tea by 10 year old Rebecca Stetson who lives in the home in 1786. Guests will learn what daily life was like during the Era of The New Republic (1775-1830) and have the opportunity to taste some historic recipes of tea and cakes. There will be an option for children to take the name and character of an actual Hanoverian who lived during 1786. Tea will be held in our Federal Gallery or on the grounds weather permitting.

For the Record,
This day came in warm and bright with building humidity and heat.

All hands healthy
