Gone with the Wind

I have been meaning to stop and photograph these weather vanes every time I have passed them on my way to or from work for the past 10 years. I have never had the time or the weather has been wrong or the light was wrong. Today I did it! The light was good and I had a few minutes to spare on my way in this morning. The sky was a beautiful blue (streaked with aeroplane trails of course) so I have used an effect to make it a bit more interesting.

These wonderful vanes are on a corrugated iron barn; the house itself looks a bit run down but the yard is beautifully kept with organised piles of logs and interesting tools. I would liked to have poked around for longer. At some point it would be interesting to get a sunset shot from the opposite direction.

Good rehearsals today for 'The Dream' but my anxiety levels are high concerning non-appearance of renewed passports after 3 weeks as we are due to fly in 10 days time! I console myself with the fact that the worst that can happen is we don't go on holiday. I know of a family who will be anxiously awaiting the result of an MRI scan on their 7 year old son - that is real anxiety- mine is just cosmetic!
