Baking and bikes

Today CJ and I had a baking day. We started by making some savoury pinwheel scones in the morning - predictably CJ loved helping spread the filling over! In the afternoon we made a Moroccan lamb stew - although I think CJ enjoyed sampling all the vegetables that were being added rather than helping!

After dinner S2 asked him want he wanted to do before bed and CJ jumped on his balance bike! This was the first time he had actively picked riding his bike and we were happy to encourage him, so we all headed outside so he could ride on the footpath!

Now that he has figured out the basics of steering and moving - he was having a great time! Even when he had the odd tumble, he would jump straight back on!

He'll soon be ready to go further on it, all he needs is a little more confidence and hours in the saddle! Definitely time to get him a helmet now!
