100 years ago today.....

......Laurie Lee was born. So my blip today is a tribute to this fascinating man. Not only could he write, he was a musician & an artist.

We went up to Slad recently which is where he lived & where Cider with Rosie is set. Lunch in the Woolpack & a visit to the church where he is buried. A really lovely stained glass window celebrates his life. His daughter recently brought out a folio of his art works - a lovely book.
