What a Title?

This is my reading for August, from the library book group I attend.
Who chose this title?
It looks rather dry from the title but I think to dip into might prove interesting.
I have just started another small book group with some neighbours, which hopefully will prove to be a great get-together with equally delightful reading, if the first book is anything to go by "The Snow Child" by Eowyn Ivey". I have just started reading it and the descriptions of the landscapes and pioneering life in Alaska are exquisite, the sort of book in which to lose oneself.
So the two books present quite a diverse contrast.
