This is a preview - the Glasgow Real Ale Festival doesn't start until this evening. Its on at the Briggait for 3 days.

As well as real ales, there is a cider bar serving real cider and mead as well as Rick's Bar which will be serving Franconian beer from the brewery rich region between Nuremberg and Bamberg in Bavaria.

Hot food in the shape of Bratwurst, bockwurst and crepes will also be available.

These volunteers were working hard on all the polishing and cleaning. Out of shot were some other volunteers who, in the short time I was there, had to sample a whole bunch of different Ales - its a tough old job but someone has to do it!
