Mt St Helens

So there we were in this surreal landscape, looking across at the mountain over this watery bit. It was too long a hike for the time e had so we were OK just to look. I had imagined we could get a lot closer by car, but as it isn't a ski destination you pretty much have to walk to get to the crater. No matter, encountered quite a few snakes though, at least five that I noticed, but I am sure there were more as you get to know their rustle. One snake is lucky, but five, i thought we should perhaps get out of there as i didn't want to get too lucky. Must have arrived on snake day :)
