Bus Challenge No 20!
...to Poole on the Dorset coast!!
Started the day with a lift to Bath bus station, so that was one less bus to have to take! Then a beautiful, if lengthy (2 1/2 hours!) bus ride through the sunny Wiltshire countryside to Salisbury. I arrived just in time to be able to catch an earlier bus than planned to Bournemouth, and arrived on the Dorset coast in glorious sunshine.
Bournemouth was bustling with holidaymakers, and after meeting up with my Godmother, we walked through the famous gardens to the seafront where the busy beach and blue sea resembled the Med! After a chance to stretch my legs, and a Purbeck ice cream, it was back on the last bus of the day and on to my final destination of Poole.
My World Cup Challenge was upheld, and a further two matches were 'watched' then off we went to enjoy the most beautiful sunny Summer's evening on Poole Quay with views across Poole Harbour to Brownsea Island, all accompanied by Pizza, a chilled glass of white wine and a setting sun, what more could you wish for? As you can see, there were plenty of sailing boats out, making the most of the glorious weather...
