RTTL 2769
I took this photograph from the deck of RTTL 2759 in May 1969 during an exercise off Limassol Bay.
The RTTL's were powered by 2 off "Sea Griffon" engines, the same engine that powered the later Spitfires, but equipped with a sea water jacket to cool them.
45 Knots in a 68ft wooden boat carrying 2200 gallons of 120 octane fuel!
Who needs drugs! I just used to carry spare underpants, RAF issue of course!
