New Year, New Life

Steps

On the Whittington Estate, just up the road from me.
The estate, technically part of Highgate New Town, was built in the 1970's, designed by Peter Tabori, one of the visionary architects who worked for the Camden Architects department at that time.
It's now a mix of social and private housing. A lot of the flats were bought under Thatcher's right to buy which came in shortly after they had been built. Flats that went for around £30k then are worth about £600k now. No wonder we have a housing crisis in London.
