Vantage point

It was cold, grey and miserable when I spotted this fellow on a neighbour's chimney. He looked a bit miserable too and just stood slowly rotating to take in the view. I was hoping he would do something interesting or the sun would break out, but nothing happened. I took a few shots and just as I turned off the camera - he spread his wings and flew off. His wing span was enormous and I dearly would like to have captured that. I will be looking out for him in the future.
