Piano lesson

Today Reuben joined me at Callum's school for a bit and then home for his piano lesson which he thoroughly enjoyed. Standing on my still very sore toe, first Callum with barefoot at school, then Reuben with his shoes, oh my! that was painful.

In his journal he wrote:
"Today we went to the YWCA and I went in the pillow room. I did my first piano lesson. I drew a picture and I felt happy"

Music to my ears. His writing is so wonderful to see, coming as he did from such a limited capacity at the start of 1st grade. The piano is wonderful for him too because he has such a great command of his fingers due to his sign language skills, see And I LOVE this tune from 2013 that he created. Listen to the stark change of emotion when Callum interrupts him and he sees my emotions from what he's creating. Such a deeply sensitive love.
