Important (hopefully temporary) wrap up workshop for our work in Vietnam. This is Tien, presenting some of the biodiversity survey work that she’s been leading.
Our government partners are so wonderfully supportive and committed to our work that we were requested to buy one guy a new $200 office chair or essentially he could refuse to sign the necessary permissions we need. I’m resisting the blatant bribery…
After the speeches were over, what else is there to do in Vietnam at 11.15am other than have lunch and start drinking beer copiously. It made afternoon meetings hard work.
Later on a plane, a nail in the coffin for the creation over evolution argument. No god would create a baby that you want to poke in the eye to stop it howling.
