The Moment of Hope

In Beirut's London Bar a diverse group of England fans had gathered to watch the match against Uruguay. Colleagues had booked me a seat with a great view. Unfortunately that meant a close up of Suarez scoring the first goal. However Rooney finally did his bit for England in the 75th minute and the bar erupted in cheers.

For 10 meagre minutes we had hope, captured here, before Suarez again destroyed our chances of getting through the group stages. He's not my favourite player (after all - he's a grown man who bites his opponents) so sad that we lost out and annoyed that such an objectionable person was given such a great footballing talent.
