Reflecting

Alex bought me these flowers last week.
This one, that I think is a hyacinth, is getting to the other side of best.
I thought this was a good metaphor for life today with recent occurrences in mind.
Things start out beautiful & fresh but after a while they fade and lose their sparkle & colour.
Not everything is inevitable but sometimes despite best intentions, they are unavoidable.
