Goldfinch
This morning George and I walked to the Seabird and Wildlife Observatory, just outside the village. It was a beautiful morning and the walk was lovely. There were seals, huge, grey beasts, still as rocks, sitting in the bay. One followed us as we walked past but we were far enough away not to cause it any undue alarm.
The wardens at the observatory were lovely - friendly, welcoming and full of advice. I'm definitely going back there.
We mainly saw goldfinches today. And this is one of them.
By the time we walked back, I was done in. I feel really good and full of energy and a 2 or 3 mile walk just exhausts me. We went into Campbeltown for a coffee and I went to bed for a couple of hours when we got back. Feeling better now, but so very tired being ill.
