A Much Loved Bookshop.

In 1896, the original G. David, a Parisian bookseller, started selling his books on Cambridge market. Eventually moving to the premises in St Edwards Passage and specialising in early English literature, early science and travel books. A great selection of second hand, antiquarian, prints and bargain books can be found. I have been going in there since my childhood and today I found a copy of Enid Blyton's 'The Magic Faraway Tree' as my little great granddaughter wanted more stories about the funny people who lived there and the magic lands at the top of the tree. I also picked up 'Daughter Of China' which I've been wanting to read. It's the true story of forbidden love in modern China, so an early night with a good book, one of my favourite things. Well, 11pm which is early for me !
