Ali won't come any closer ...

No way is Ali going to come any closer. Not since Mr D (Daniel) moved in. She used to spend most mornings over here playing with Patches before her family took off for the day, but now, she just stays at the end of the drive. Funny thing is though, Daniel was outside in her yard at this time. Memories can be strong I guess, and remembering her first fright of seeing Daniel here is something that must have really stuck with her.
