Four Children & It!
Today I drove down to Woking for a real treat - Grandparents Day at the school where four of my grandchildren attend. I was so pleased to be allowed time from work to attend. It was a very special day as this is the only occasion when all four will be at the same school - Daniel the youngest is in his first year and Anna, the eldest moves on to secondary school in September. My son, who was 21 yesterday, was the same age as Daniel when my daughter (the mother of these children) got married so a great deal of water under innumerable bridges since then!
There is a great movie of the novel by Edith Nesbitt of Four Children and It - the 'It' in this case being the crazy Granny forever pointing a camera in their direction! (Sorry DDW but the best I can do for today's challenge.)
The journey involved the delightful M25, passing Heathrow with the jets taking off quite low overhead. Possible progress with passports renewal though as I have fielded a few phone calls from HM Passport Office thanks to Bluetooth and 'hands free'. We are now being fast tracked and passports should arrive Friday or Saturday - I FLY ON SUNDAY! This is one flight I will be so grateful to be on - I won't moan about 'Jolene's Hen party' or any screaming children or anything else - promise!
I must say the HM Passport people have been delightful and helpful. I am in Buckinghamshire, my applications were sent to Glasgow and the fast track service is operating from Belfast! Multi-national approach. Stress levels mega-high!!!!
