Lossiemouth
Up to the Moray Firth and a wander along the coast. I am definitely a sea person and just seeing it in the distance made me feel like a wee girl watching for that first glimpse from the car window. First stop Findhorn where the girls and I collected pure white pebbles from the beach. Then onto Burghead and Lossiemouth. Home to J J J Imlach of the book My Father and Other Working Class Football Heroes written by his son which Nick just happened to be reading (and loving!) Finally the wonderful small town of Portsoy with a 17th century harbour surrounded by the original merchants houses, now restored. Amazingly marble quarried from here was used in the building of Versailles! The BEST fish and chips EVER from Cullen, eaten by the sea as the sun set and a sleepy drive home.
