Long Island

I had a great blipday out today on Long Island with Freespiral, Himself, Traveller'sjoy, BAT and Bat's wooffer Chloe.

It was so quiet there. So very peaceful. I enjoyed the ramble through lush countryside with stunning vistas on every side and my leg coped really well, even with clambering over rocks and barbed wire fences ! Thanks to the others for being understanding and offering a helping hand when needed.

Later I opted to sit it out while the others walked up to the western end of the island. The quiet was immense, I could feel myself soaking it up.

This is taken from the eastern end of the island, looking towards Castle Island ahead, one of the Skeem Islands (I think) to the right, and the mainland beyond.
