Drops of Gold

The van's all packed now and we'll be leaving first thin in the morning. First stop will be Northumberland for two nights with family. I don't know what tomorrow's blip will be with so long on the road but I'm sure I'll find something for you. The next day should bring something Northumberlandish and scenic hopefully.

We had to go out this morning and we noticed signs to 'Hurdlestone Festival'. Not sure what that is but there are a load of marquees and things up in one of the fields at Humber, just outside the village. I don't think it's much like Glastonbury though. There seem to be lots of youngsters wandering around the village looking wet and slightly bemused so maybe it is a bit like Glastonbury.

This is the rain on the 'Golden Spirit' in our front garden. We've had a lot of rain today with thunder and lightning and one way and another the rain has been on and off all day, much of it just nuisance value. Now it's shining out there just to be obtuse. The plant is related to the red Smoke Bush and we planted it where we buried our dear little cat, Zebedee a couple of years ago. It's doing very nicely and is a nice reminder of the little chap. There's another raindrop pic here. if you like that soprt of thing.

Catch you soon when I'm on my travels.

David
